104Adjusting the Timeline for Success

Once both the deadline and the desired outcome have been identified on the timeline, the next stage is to gently adjust their relationship to one another. This part of the exercise focuses on creating a mental and emotional sense of completing what is needed in time.

Imagine touching both points on the timeline with your hand. Alternate between them, becoming familiar with how each one feels. Some people may notice that one point feels more flexible, movable, or “loose” than the other. If one point feels easier to move, gently shift it either forward or backward along the timeline.

In some cases, both points may feel flexible. If so, experiment by moving them slightly until the desired outcome clearly rests before the deadline. Even a small adjustment is enough. The important part is establishing the feeling that what needs to happen is completed in time.

Once the positions feel right, pause and focus on the emotional experience connected to this arrangement. Imagine the relief, confidence, or satisfaction of having everything completed successfully before the deadline arrives. Allow that feeling to settle deeply.

This process is not necessarily about changing events in a literal way. Instead, it encourages a shift in perception and emotional state. Sometimes circumstances may genuinely change, such as extensions, delays, or unexpected opportunities appearing. Other times, the exercise simply helps increase focus, calmness, and confidence, making it easier to act effectively.

The key element is the inner certainty that the required task, preparation, or goal is already aligned with success. The mind begins to associate the deadline not with pressure, but with completion and readiness.

When the exercise feels complete, allow the timeline to fade away naturally. There is no need to continue analysing or forcing the outcome. Let the visualisation dissolve and trust that the intention has been set.
