74Understanding “Knowing” in Magic and Manifestation

Many teachings about magic and manifestation focus on the idea that a desired outcome must first be accepted internally before it can appear externally. The concept is based on the belief that thoughts, emotions, and perception influence reality. In this view, the strongest influence comes not from wishing or hoping, but from knowing.

Knowing is different from wanting. Wanting suggests something is missing. Knowing creates the feeling that the desired outcome already exists. When a person truly feels that something is already real, the emotional struggle disappears. There is no longer a sense of chasing or forcing change because, internally, the result has already been accepted as complete.

This process is closely connected to the subconscious mind, which responds more strongly to feelings than to logic. Visualization, imagination, and emotional focus can help create the feeling that a goal has already been achieved. However, reaching a genuine sense of certainty can be difficult, especially when everyday circumstances appear to contradict it.

This is where the idea of “letting go” becomes important. Letting go does not mean giving up or losing interest. Instead, it means releasing anxiety, doubt, and constant checking for results. Once the intention has been clearly focused on, there is no need to continue forcing it. Trust replaces tension.

The relationship between knowing and letting go works in both directions. Feeling certain makes it easier to relax and release attachment. At the same time, deeply releasing attachment can create the impression within the subconscious mind that the outcome is already secure. In this way, letting go can strengthen belief.

Many traditions compare this process to shooting an arrow. Preparation happens first: the target is chosen, aim is carefully focused, and energy is directed toward the goal. Once the arrow is released, there is no benefit in trying to control it further. The work has already been done. Trust becomes the final step.

According to this perspective, the moment of release is the moment the process is considered complete.
