139Protecting Valued Objects with an Energetic Shield

Object shielding is a simple protective practice designed to focus intention and energy around a valued possession. Many people find it easier to work with objects than with people because objects generally do not carry the same emotional complexities or personal dynamics.

This technique can be applied to a wide variety of items, including electronic devices, fragile belongings, treasured keepsakes, or anything that holds practical or sentimental value. The purpose of the exercise is to create a sense of energetic protection around the object, reinforcing the intention that it remains safe, functional, and well cared for.

Begin by bringing the object into a quiet space where interruptions are unlikely. If the item is too large to move, perform the exercise where it is located. Take a few moments to relax and clear the mind. Any worries, tension, or concerns about the object’s safety should be released at this stage. Focus on the idea that the protective work is about to be completed, allowing concerns to fade away.

Place the object in a comfortable position—holding it, placing it on a table, or setting it on the floor, depending on its size and shape. Rest one or both hands on the object and imagine a strong, protective energy beginning to form around it. As the shield develops, gently move the hands slightly away from the surface, as though the growing energy field is naturally pushing them back.

Slowly move the hands around the object, visualising the shield extending and taking shape wherever the hands travel. Continue until a complete energetic barrier surrounds the item. Imagine the shield joining together seamlessly, creating a continuous layer of protection. Once complete, take a moment to recognise the shield’s presence and allow yourself to trust in the intention that has been set.

It is important to remember that protection does not replace common sense. Shielding an object is best viewed as working alongside careful handling rather than as a reason for carelessness. Protective practices are most effective when actions remain aligned with the intention behind them. By combining mindful behaviour with focused intention, the object receives both practical and energetic care.
