114Visualising Optimal Health

This visualisation exercise is designed to help focus the mind on a desired state of health and wellbeing. It can be used alongside other personal development or wellness practices when working with long-term health challenges.

Progress may occur gradually. Sometimes deeply held beliefs, habits of thought, or emotional associations can influence how easily a person embraces positive change. If results seem incomplete, the exercise can be repeated over time, allowing the mind to become increasingly familiar with the experience of improved wellbeing.

Begin by finding a quiet space where there is enough room to move comfortably. Stand in an area with open space in front of you and take a few moments to relax.

Imagine forming a large sphere of energy between your hands. As the sphere grows, see a life-sized holographic image of yourself within it. This image represents the healthiest and most vibrant version of yourself. Focus only on the qualities of wellbeing you wish to experience. See the body functioning comfortably, efficiently, and with ease.

Take time to walk around the sphere and observe this healthy version of yourself from different angles. Notice the expression, posture, movement, and overall sense of vitality. Allow yourself to become familiar with this image and the feelings it represents.

Next, imagine stepping behind the sphere and entering it. Inside the sphere are both your current self and the healthy holographic version. Spend a moment observing the difference between the two.

Now imagine stepping into the holographic image. As you do, experience the feelings of comfort, strength, and wellbeing associated with this healthier state. At the same time, visualise any awareness of discomfort, limitation, or imbalance being gently moved outwards until it leaves the sphere completely.

Allow yourself to merge fully with the healthy image. Experience the sensations, emotions, and confidence that accompany optimal wellbeing. Spend several moments absorbing this state.

To conclude, imagine the sphere of energy gently drawing inward around you, sealing this connection with your vision of health. Carry this feeling forward into the rest of the day, allowing the image to remain in the background while continuing with normal activities.
