Astral Magick: More than Physical Bodies

Astral magick is based on the idea that people are more than just their physical bodies. In Christianity, for example, there is a belief that a person is made up of a body, a soul, and a spirit. This view, which separates the body, soul, and spirit, has been discussed for many generations. For instance, some families pass down the idea that the soul is the part of us that shapes our personality, while the spirit is seen as the eternal part. In Christian belief, the spirit is thought to leave the body at death and move on to an afterlife, such as Heaven or Hell.

This way of thinking is not limited to Christianity. Many cultures and spiritual traditions have similar ideas about what makes up a person. In ancient Egypt, for example, the soul was divided into several parts, each with its own purpose. Some forms of shamanism describe the soul as having different layers, which can travel, heal, or even become separated. In certain Eastern philosophies, people are seen as having physical, energetic, and spiritual parts.

These different beliefs show that many traditions recognize people as complex beings with several layers or aspects. Whether described as body, soul, and spirit, or in other ways, the idea remains that we may have more than one part to our inner selves. This understanding is important in many magical and spiritual practices, including astral magick, where exploring these different aspects can lead to deeper knowledge and personal growth.
