The best method of using incense is to burn the
granular type on a charcoal disc. By this method
the charcoal disc is lit and placed in a fireproof
receptacle. The incense is then piled onto the
concave surface and allowed to do its work. After
use, the charcoal discs remain very hot. You
should dispose of them very carefully, dousing
them with water and ensuring they are no longer
‘alive’ and thus potentially harmful. You might
